Two main diesel-electric power units for the catamaran of the Public Institution Brijuni National Park were delivered
On Monday, March 15th, 2021 Motortech Consulting d.o.o. from Pula delivered two main diesel-electric units for Tehnomont's new building 116.
These diesel-electric generators type ADB HCM534E - D2676LE322, rated power 2 x 330 kVA via frequency converters will supply electric motors, i.e. shaft lines with propellers for the passenger ship that Tehnomont - Brodogradilište Pula d.o.o. builds for the client Public Institution Brijuni National Park.
It is a catamaran-type ship, 21.85 m long, 9.00 m wide, with a capacity of 3 crew members and 150 passengers (a closed passenger space with a capacity of 100 seats, of which 10 seats for people with physical disabilities using wheelchairs, and an open/covered passenger compartment with a capacity of 50 seats), with aluminium construction and diesel-electric propulsion drive.
The catamaran is part of the large project "New attire of Brijuni island" of the Public Institution Brijuni National Park within the Operational Program "Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020." co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The total value of the project is set at a maximum of HRK 41,759,488.84, and the general goal of the project is to improve the management of Brijuni National Park on the principles of sustainable use of natural heritage with the aim of socio-economic development of the local community.
The specificity of this catamaran, the first of its kind in Croatia, is the ecological electric drive and the aluminium construction of the ship, which has a very shallow draft, so that it will be able to sail into the Port of Sv. Mikula on Mali Brijun, which will be put into the operational function of the National Park as part of project.
Delivered diesel-electric generators, based on MAN propulsion engines as part of the standard program of generator sets - GENSET - within the Marine program have once again confirmed the status of Motortech Consulting as the leading manufacturer of diesel-electric generators in Croatia and the largest service for marine engines and marine diesel-electric aggregates in the Adriatic.
