Motortech Consulting has signed an agreement for the completion of marine equipment for new building 514 for the 3. Maj Shipyard
Pula-based Motortech Consulting Ltd, a leading manufacturer of diesel-electric generators in Croatia, and 3. Maj Shipyard from Rijeka signed an agreement on the purchase of an emergency generator module for new building 514.
The new building 514, i.e. a ship for transporting cars and trucks, was part of the bankruptcy estate of Uljanik, which was bought by the Ministry of Finance.
At the beginning of April the Government of the Republic of Croatia approved a loan for the completion of construction with the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the amount of EUR 22 million.
This is a big job for the 3. Maj Shipyard, which seeks to encourage the revitalization of Croatian shipbuilding, and Motortech Consulting as the most famous manufacturer of diesel-electric generators in the Republic of Croatia has an unavoidable role in the supply of ship equipment.
On behalf of 3. Maj Shipyard, the contract was signed by the director Edi Kučan, and the signature for Motortech Consulting was given by the director Livio Bolković, who noted that this is a continuation of many years of successful cooperation between the two companies.
"By the end of this year, we expect the signing of a new contract, related to the delivery of an emergency diesel-electric generator for a new polar cruiser which is to be built at the 3. Maj Shipyard," said director Bolković.
The value of the signed contract is more than one million Croatian kunas and it is a module of marine diesel-electric emergency generator type ADBK HCN 434D - D2866LXE20, rated power 192 kWe, rated voltage 3 * 450V and rated frequency 60Hz at 1800 rpm.
The mentioned equipment is subject to the classification rules of Bureau Veritas, and the planned delivery deadline is the beginning of August this year.
